About Body Work
What is body work?
According to Wikipedia: Bodywork is any therapeutic or personal development technique that involves working with the human body in a form involving manipulative therapy, breath work, or energy medicine. Bodywork techniques also aim to assess or improve posture, promote awareness of the "bodymind connection" which is an approach that sees the human body and mind as a single integrated unit, or to manipulate the electromagnetic field alleged to surround the human body and affect health.
What type of body work do you do?
I am a Reiki Master/Teacher and I am certified in CFT (Craniosacral Fascial Therapy). As a side note, I am also proud that I am an Accredited Floral Designer and an Executive Leader with Young Living and I also volunteer for my small town park.
What is the difference between Reiki and CFT?
Reiki is energy based. It is using the universal life force energy to help give the body what it needs to heal. Reiki only goes for the individuals highest good and it can be performed on anyone. If a person is sensitive to touch, a Reiki practitioner can hover the hands instead of laying them on the person. So, be sure and communicate with me if there are special needs in this area.
CFT means the brain has to breathe and the fascia has to be loose. We have a spider web of fascia that can become tight with each of our traumas throughout life. These traumas, starting with our in utero and birth trauma, add layers to what we call our onion and we are peeling that onion back one layer at a time with each session.
How do I schedule a session?
I provide both remote and in-person sessions. To schedule and for additional questions, please contact me at: bnshootingstar@gmail.com or 309-828-7828
